Deleting your KvantPhone account on Android and iOS
You can delete your KvantPhone account on both Android and iOS platforms.
Important: deleting your account is irreversible. After deletion, KvantPhone will not be able to restore your account, even if it was deleted by accident.
You can delete your account from within the KvantPhone app. You must be signed in to the account you want to delete, and the deletion can be performed on any device running KvantPhone.
As a reminder, KvantPhone cannot restore or transfer conversations, message threads, documents, media files, backups, or call history associated with deleted accounts.
Deleting your KvantPhone account
- Sign in to your KvantPhone account if you have not already done so, and open the KvantPhone app.
- Navigate to the Preferences menu.
- Select “My account”, then scroll to the bottom of the screen.
- Tap “Delete account”. You will be asked to verify your identity and confirm that you want to delete the account.
- Your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted along with all data stored with it. You will no longer be able to sign in with that account.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account becomes inaccessible in KvantPhone on all of your devices.
- Your message threads are deleted, and group chats associated with you become read-only.
- You are removed from all KvantPhone groups you are a member of.
- Any backups associated with the account are deleted.
If you choose to delete your account
- You will no longer be able to access your account; it cannot be restored.
- All data associated with your account will be deleted from the KvantPhone systems immediately and permanently.
- This does not affect certain information related to groups you created or information other users store about you – for example, messages you have already sent to them.
- Private conversations with your contacts will be permanently deleted on both your side and your contacts’ side.
- We may retain certain log data even after your account is deleted, but we remove or replace any information that can be used to identify you, so it can no longer be linked to your account. For example, we regularly remove identifying information from such logs, and we replace all instances of your account identifier with a substitute identifier that cannot be associated back to your account after deletion.

- If your contacts still see you as a KvantPhone user after you have deleted your account, ask them to restart the KvantPhone app.
- Restarting the app refreshes their KvantPhone contacts and removes you from their contact list.
